Last Day to get the April Stamp of the Month

Today is the last day to get Closet o my Heart’s versatile April Stamp of the Month called “You Are...” I love this stamp set because it can be used in so many ways. I used it to make a pink feminine card here and my creative friend Christine Adams made this card with more masculine colors. (Although when she gave the card to me, with a very sweet note inside, I loved it, and I am definitely a girly girl!)

Dotty for You Artwork Tips

I’m crazy about the fabulous artwork you can create with the Dotty for You paper packet during National Scrapbooking Month! Each promotional paper packet includes an insert with a picture of the artwork, a recipe, and a unique technique, for inspiration. Here are a few of the fun techniques you can use to create the artwork samples shown...

Sweet Life Page

This page is my favorite one of the artwork ideas on the insert because of the adorable kids in the photos. Oh, did I mention that the adorable kids are mine? LOL!

Making Embellishments Stand Out

Add a bit of white, solid space behind decorative elements, such as this baker’s twine bow, to help them stand out on busy B&T Duos® papers, like this chevron pattern.

Kiss Page

Pin Flags Technique

Make a darling accent from your paper scraps by trimming a complementary banner and wrapping it around a pin from the Bling assortment (Z1466) to form a small pin flag.

Here’s a little bonus project that you can make. This one isn’t on the insert, but I had to include it because it is so cute...

Good Luck Card

Neutral Inks for a Clean Look

To create a card with a clean, crisp look, use the dominant neutral color to stamp your sentiment.

Yo-yo Accent

Create a trendy yo-yo element by accordion-folding a long strip of cardstock every 1/4", adhering the two ends together to make a circle, stitching the center with thread all the way around, and pulling the ends of the thread taut to create a yo-yo. Secure the center with a button to keep your yo-yo flat.

Remember, you can get this great paper packet including 24 sheets of cardstock weight B&T Duos and artwork idea insert, for only $5 when you order just $35 of products in the current Idea Book.Plus, if you add another $10, you can get the stamp of the month for only $5 as well!

My Heart is in the Hills

I am in heaven right now. I am currently sitting with my dear friend, Christine Adams, in her scrap room in West Virginia helping to prepare for our team meeting tomorrow. What a treat to get to fly out here to get together with so many of my wonderful east coast downline, many of which I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet. But that will all change tomorrow!

Christine is such an amazing hostess. From the moment she picked me up at the airport last night, I have been pampered and treated like a queen! Just look at what I found in my guest room last night.

The wonderful saying above my guest bed made me feel so welcome.

She had a fun little basket of goodies waiting for me on the table by my bed filled with all kinds of pampering goodness! And check out the adorable box she made. It is filled with encouraging bible verses and the sweetest personal note that I will treasure forever!

Christine and I met years ago when she lived just down the street from me in Southern California. She was in one of my Close to my Heart Clubs for a long time and when she moved to West Virginia a few years later, she decided that she couldn't live without CTMH and decided to sign up to become a Consultant herself. She has built an amazing business out here and I am so proud of her. I know I have mentioned it before, but CTMH has brought more to my life than stamping and scrapbooking. It has brought life long friendships.

Wow! My layout was featured on Cricut Chirp!

I had no idea that my Sonata wedding layout was featured on Cricut Chirp until my dear friend Christine Adams told me. Cricut Chirp is a weekly email newsletter from Provocraft about everything that has to do with the Cricut die cutting machine. They always highlight fun projects that you can make using various cartridges. Imagine my surprise when I found out my little ole' Sonata layout was featured in the “Message Board” section of the latest issue. Here is a link to this week’s issue. If you click on the link that says “Art Philosophy Wedding Layout” under the “Message Board” section, you will see my project.

Here is a link to my original post showing more details of this layout.

I was also thrilled to see fellow Consultant Lucy Kelleher’s amazing projects highlighted in the main article. She also used the Art Philosophy cartridge for her adorable projects.

If you don’t have the Art Philosophy cartridge yet, don’t worry. You can get it here. I LOVE this cartridge. It has EVERYTHING on it!!!!

And the winner is...

Thank you to everyone who entered my giveaway for a free Pair-a-Phrase stamp set. I am please to announce that the winner is...

Thank you CTMH and my INCREDIBLE Team!

I was honored and beyond excited to welcome 31 new gals to my first downline team and 55 to my total team during the month of March. Last month’s Close to my Heart promotion was so good that these 55 women were smart to take advantage of it and join the BEST stamping and scrapbooking company around.

I am extremely proud of Lisa Melvin, Vicky Fisher, and Diane McConnell who all promoted to Supervisor last month, and thrilled to announce that Lisa Laski promoted to Manager! Because of all of your hard work and dedication, I am humbled and honored to be promoted to Senior Director!

Even though the March promotion has ended, the opportunity to join this amazing company is still here. If you would like information about becoming a Close to my Heart Consultant and joining my incredible team, feel free to contact me and/or check out my New Consultant FAQs page here.

Thank you Close to my Heart for providing such wonderful products and incredible training tools and support, and a huge thank you to all of my team members and customers who have quickly become my friends. It is because of you that my “job” is as fun and rewarding as it is!

Humbly and Gratefully Yours,
Lisa
