April Club Projects - Spring/Floral Cards

April’s Creative Club project will be these three Spring themed cards. To find out more about my monthly non-commit Creative Club, click here. You do not need to be local to participate. The first card is a flower pot shaped card that has a pull out piece where you can write your message. Isn’t it fun? It uses the same stamp set, called A Posy, as the card that I posted in my previous post. The next card uses the April stamp of the month called Flower Pot. I LOVE this stamp set. It is so cute! (The set will only be available during the month of April.) The last card was inspired by Deneen here. I made one like it last year. (Well, actually I made 60 of them like it last year.) You can see that card here.
If you like these projects, click here for more details on my super fun club! Contact me at lisa@myctmh.com for more information, to sign up for next month’s class, or to order your own club kit(s). Next month’s Club will meet at 7pm on Thursday, April 8th. Please contact me no later than April 2nd if you would like to join us or order a kit. (That will give me enough time to order the supplies and prep your kit.)

All supplies are from CTMH unless otherwise noted.

Posy Card and New Lower Priced Stamps

We will be making this card for a Make-and-Take project at a Home Gathering tomorrow. It highlights one of CTMH’s A-sized stamp sets called A Posy. All of the A-sized stamp sets used to be $10.95 and CTMH recently lowered the price to only $7.95! How many companies are LOWERING their prices these days? Have I mentioned lately how much I love Close to my Heart?
Do you like this card? Would you like me to show you and your friends how to make it? Contact me to schedule your own Home Gathering.

Or if you love all of CTMH’s products as much as I do, there is still time to take advantage of the Dare to Dream promotion where you can get even more in your new kit for the same low price. Click here for more info.

A Little Everything Silhouette Cards

Here are a few more super quick and easy cards made with the March stamp of the Month called A Little Everything. I also used one of my all time favorite paper packets called Silhouette. I hope it never retires!

On the first card, I stamped the Just Blooms flower with a stamp from the Noted Backgrounds set in Bamboo ink. I am not sure if I like the way it turned out, but I figured that I might as well use it. The button is a plain Colonial White button that I colored with a black Sharpie marker on the inside.
The rest are so simple that they probably don’t need any explanation. *Ü*

A Little Everything Cards

These cards were inspired by the super cute cards made by Karen Pedersen and Christine Adams. You ladies are such an inspiration to me! Thank you! *Ü*

I used the wonderful CTMH March Stamp of the Month called A Little Everything. (This is a MUST HAVE set for every card maker!) Click here for more information on how you can get the set at a discount or ever for FREE!

I used Baby Pink cardstock on both cards with the fun Noted Background set. I used Cocoa ink on the first card and Black ink on the second. (I definitely like the Black ink better, but I think I like the placement of the elements better on the Cocoa card. What do you think?) I also used some Ric Rac from the Blush Ribbon Rounds.
Cocoa ink (I really need to re-ink my Cocoa pad! LOL!)
Black ink
You’ll never guess what I used to make the flower! I punched some pink napkins with a scallop circle punch. Then I used the piercing tool to make a hole in the middle and a Pink Brad to hold the pieces together. I scrunched up the flower “petals” and fluffed them a bit to make it look like a flower. (Here’s a tip: make sure you sandwich your napkin between two sheets of copy paper before you try to punch it. Otherwise you will have a big mess and your punch will jam. Trust me on this one. LOL!)

Some sweet awards...

I am honored to have received a couple of awards from some lovely ladies! The first one is from Life with Lisa. (Thanks Lisa. BTW, Love your name! LOL!)
The rules for this one are to tell 10 things that make you happy & pass it along to 5 others.
Here’s what makes me happy:
1. My Lord!
2. My sweet hubby
3. My adorable kiddos
4. My caring friends
5. Crafting of all sorts
6. The color yellow (I can't wear it, but I love to look at it. LOL!)
7. Chocolate eclairs (Sooo yummy!)
8. Sleeping in (It's been a long time!)
9. Close to my Heart
10. The smell of freshly cut grass

There are so many people that I would love to pass this along to. Instead I am going to pass it along to all of my CTMH sisters. You can find a link to many of them here. Love you gals!!!

The next award is from the talented Lori (THCEO). I am so honored, Lori, that you like my blog because I am constantly checking out yours to get inspired! *Ü*

Here are the rules:
Say thanks to the one who sent it to you. (Thanks Lori!) Tell us 7 things about you. Pass it to 15 followers/friends."

Here are seven random things about myself...
1. I have only lived in one state (Sunny California)
2. I teach Sunday School for Pre-K and Kindergartners. (Love those little kiddos!)
3. I have a BA in Graphic Design and started to get my Masters in Advertising (maybe someday I will finish.)
4. I love my family as big as the sky! (As my kids would say.)
5. I really miss my dad. (He was killed in a plane crash almost 19 years ago.)
6. I am turning 40 in 3 months. (Yikes.)
7. I love carbs. (I could eat bread, rice, cereal, potatoes, etc all day long! Not such a good thing.)

I am supposed to pass this off to 15 others, but I think I am going to pass this one off to all my CTMH sistas as well.

Thanks again ladies for the sweet awards!! *Ü*
